What are the precautions of community engagement in arts?

Care taken in advance through informal dialogue about community engagement in arts – sharing different perspectives and experiences to find motivation and reasons behind social practices in arts. We aim to promote the exchange of ideas, inspire each other and encourage new collaborations through:

• artists, arts administrators and community members sharing their experience with community engagement and work with different communities,
• sharing examples of successful projects, as well as problems/ difficulties around those projects,
• talk about the positive/ negative impact of community engagement,
• talk about the benefits for artistic practice and communities from such projects;
• share our motivation and values behind doing community engaged work;
• discuss ethics around community engagement,
• etc.

Oskars Goba is facilitating the event and invites you to engage in the dialogue . We will serve Coffee and Bagels.
