Join us at the cHURCH for One Minute Length, a participatory performance by artist Kunjin Jiang. This is a free event. Bagels and coffee will be served.

Have you ever thought about how long is the length of one minute? Is it long or short, fast or slow? Is it as long as a paragraph, or is it as long as a 200-meter runway? The passage of time may be the most fundamental aspect of human perceptions. Einstein once said: “The difference between the present, the past and the future is just an illusion.” The length of time is based on the illusion of a certain space. One Minute Length questions human institution and manufacture, and expresses the uncertainty towards the future.

This is a site-specific performance that includes sound, visual and audience participation. An open discussion will be followed.
