Family Sunday at Collecting Health
For every show the Open Source Gallery team works closely with the Exhibiting Artist(s) to prepare hands on activities for the entire family.
Family Sunday at Collecting Health: March 3, 3:00 – 5:00pm
RSVP is not required, but encouraged.
Bring your kids and join us for Family Sunday at the gallery to explore Jody Wood’s exhibition, Collecting Health.
Come discover Jody Wood’s exhibition Collecting Health at Open Source Gallery on a day specially oriented towards families. We will have workshops and activities surrounding home remedies for physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Bring your kids and your ideas for taking care of your communities, your family, and yourself.
Collecting Health is an exhibition by Jody Wood, which includes a “Social Pharmacy” and other works that relate to healing and what makes us feel good. Visitors to the pharmacy can take homemade medicines and other nice things that people have shared, and they can leave their own recipes or make things in the gallery. Maybe you’ll write about something that helps you feel better when you’re sick, mix together plants that smell good, or sculpt something that will make another visitor smile.
The gallery is in an old carriage house and can be chilly in the winter even with heaters, so we recommend dressing warmly!
*We typically take pictures at our events to be used on our website, newsletters, and recaps on social media. If you have concerns about our use of these photos, please talk to a gallery staff member at the event or email programs@opensourcegallery.org.
