Drumstitch – Multi Drummer Event

Drumstitch – Multi Drummer Event

Join us for a multi-drummer performance at the KoKo Lot in which each drummer at their own kit arcs and flows with dynamics and grooves, curated by Chris Moore (teacher, mentor, drummer for Detroit’s Negative Approach, solo musician, and visual artist). Proceeds from this event will support the Lot Artist Residency!

Thanks to Chris Moore and drummers all funds we raise at this event are donated to Open Source! Be as generous as you can so we can meet our goal of $3000 for our artist in residence program at the lot.

During The Lot Artist Residency, one artist a year is offered the opportunity to utilize The Lot to create work that engages with themes of community, sustainability, and education. The artist-in-residence is provided a dedicated workspace, a secure place to store materials, and 24/7 access as well as a stipend. The selected artist will also present free, public events for the community.

Support art and community by joining us for this event–and please spread the word!

The Lot is home to KoKo NYC, Open Source Gallery’s arts education program, as well as a garden created with the philosophy of reclaiming urban spaces, a Cricket Farm created by Party Crickets (artists Adam Chad Brody and Jude Tallichet), and Backyard Utopias, a project initiated by artists Katerina Marcelja and Monika Wuhrer that encourages our community to participate in zero waste and carbon negative efforts.
