Alexandra Zelman-Doring is an award winning writer, director, and actor. In 2005, she founded Throes Theater, a Drama-Desk winning company whose plays have premiered in the UK and in the US at theaters including The Flea Theater, 59E59, Dixon Place, Access Theater, Theater for the New City, and HERE Arts Center. She has collaborated with filmmakers, musicians, and performers from all over the world. Her work assisting Polina Klimovitskaya (Russian master acting teacher who studied with Meyerhold and disciples of Stanislavski and Vaktangov) greatly influenced her unique approach to acting.
