A White Elephant sale, or tabled sculptures of steel, concrete, plaster, and wood, for you. To honor the one mythic pachyderm who found their way into multiple religion’s creation stories, and to benefit soapbox racing with the honesty boxed proceeds.
Kai Vierstra is a zealot of rhythm, for energy, and of an art that manifests these.
The fifth child of a physicist and a nurse, he’s lived in Massachusetts, The Marshall Islands, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Rhode Island, Virginia, and New York, in that order. Recieving a photography BFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the University of Utah (2000), an MFA in Sculpture from the Virginia Commonwealth University (2004), and attending the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2005).
