As Public Artist In Residence at the NY Department of Sanitation, sTo Len revitalized a long dormant screenprinting facility in their Central Repair Shop in Queens where he created a series of prints that recycled the sanitation department’s own signage and visual messaging campaigns.

sTo Len is an interdisciplinary artist whose work has centered on place-based collaborations with environmentally abused landscapes and co-creations with communities and municipal agencies. Recent projects have included a Trash Museum in Kyrgyzstan, a pirate radio show in New Mexico, and a series of plant-based printmaking while in residence at the Queens Botanical Garden. Len was the first Artist in Residence at AlexRenew Wastewater Treatment facility in Virginia and most recently was the Public Artist in Residence at the NY Department of Sanitation. Len is based in Queens, NY, with over two decades of residence in NY and familial roots in Vietnam and Virginia.
