Groovy mix of Brazilian Jazz and Jazz fusion.

Bassist Gregory M. Jones hails from Boston. He studied music at the New England Conservatory of Music. He has played all around the world and on television, with the “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” (seasons 4 and 5). In 2022, he released “2 am” with Florea, Jones, and Lange. He also recorded “Trouble Maker” with Aayushi Karnik. He has performed with Take 6, Nneena Freelon, and Clint Homes in a tribute to Ray Charles. He has toured and recorded with Ute Lemper, Eileen Ivers, Carly Simon, Nat Adderly jr., Savion Glover, Astrud Gilberto, and many more. He regularly subs on Broadway, records jingles, and continues to play every Sunday at Redeemer Church.

Tatsuya Sakurai was born and raised in Yamanashi, Japan, where he studied with reknowned jazz guitarist, Takayuki Kato. He later attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied and performed with acclaimed musicians like: Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Tim Miller and Jon Damian. He moved to New York City to continue his career as a professional musician. Sakurai plays regularly at clubs in and around New York City, with Bill Crow and recorded “Waiting Room” with Zawadi Noel. Drummer, percussionist, author, Todd Isler has toured and studied around the globe, soaking up the flavors of Africa, India, Brazil, Japan, and many European countries. Currently, Todd co-leads “International Orange” and “The Aeolian Trio,” showcasing his ability on drum set as well as hand drums. He was a winner of the Jazziz Percussion on Fire Award, and the Disc Makers Unsigned Band contest.Todd has released 5 albums as a leader, two solo albums and three with International Orange. His playing and recording experience spans genres with musicians including Joe Lovano, Ivan Neville, Mike Gordon, Sizao Machado, Betty Buckley, Al Kooper, Melvin Sparks, Francis Mbappe, Bakithi Kumalo, Dave Liebman, Steve Turre, Jack McDuff, David Krakauer, and many others. He’s also the author of the critically acclaimed book, “You Can Ta Ka Di Mi This”, which incorporates the South Indian rhythm system to ground and expand one’s beat, now in its second printing. He has utilized these concepts for master classes at The Collective in NYC, NYU, San Francisco St., and in Rio de Janeiro, and Brasilia, Brazil.

Lily White Has toured extensively playing festivals with the Jimmy McGriff quartet. She later toured with Mario Bauza’s Latin jazz orchestra and then her own quintet. She was awarded a Jazz Composition Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. She has released 3 CDs with her quintet: “Somewhere Between Truth and Fiction,” “No Pork Long Line,” and “Big Blue Line.” Lily was awarded a Meet the Composer Grant, writing music for children. Her current projects include the Swunky Z Brass Band, and most recently, a new quintet. Her new CD, “Daughter of Fortune” will be released soon. Outlines will be recording in the fall.
