Kensington Earth Day Festival

KoKo NYC will be accepting donations of old electronics at the District 39 Kensington Earth Day Festival!
Donate your old electronics to Koko NYC to be repurposed for sculpture making by youth in NYC public schools. Accepted items: printers, fax machines, DVD players / VCRs / CD players, Electronic baby toys, electronics that have inner workings with gears, etc. (record players, slide projectors, typewriters, etc.) No ACs, fridges, computers, laptops, tvs or monitors.
Kensington Earth Day Festival:

10:00am-12:00pm – Community Clean Up (Sign up here)
11:00am – 2:00pm – Community & Arts in Kensington Plaza
Join the D39 Youth Leadership Council, CM Hanif, and Street Lab for pop-ups that feature arts and crafts to strengthen our community connections, toward a greener more equitable future.
- FREE: mini compost bags, food scrap containers, doggie bags, retractable leashes, and portable water bowls

1:00pm – 4:00pm – Earth Day in Albemarle Playground
Join Flutura Effect, the PS 230 Green Team, and Singing Winds for gardening, environmental science and engineering projects for children and families. Learn about the effects of Urban Heat Islands. Build a model wind turbine. Plant seeds to take home.
