A FREE EVENT!

KOKO Open Source and the Brooklyn Public Library are partnering this June for an end-of-school STEAM event celebrating creativity and ingenuity – join us for the 2nd annual BitBots Battle at the Central Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library!

Show up with your durable, handmade project made from recycled materials and bring it to life with littleBits!

The 2016 Battle takes place on SUNDAY, JUNE 5th from 2-4 pm! Join us in the library’s Information Commons Lab with your durable, handmade project made from recycled materials–then bring it to life with littleBits and let the battle begin!

Our BitBots program enables children with a range of abilities and learning styles to design and build their own creations! Utilizing the award-winning littleBits technology along with recycled materials we make contraptions and creatures that can move and light up, exploring visual art and STEM concepts. Our BitBots after school program is currently offered in 15 schools throughout NYC!

Participants in the BitBots Battle will come from all over NYC. While many participants will be part of our after school program, this event is open to any and all children interested in participating!
No littleBits? No problem! Come make your project for Sunday’s battle in the Upper Program Room in the Central Youth Wing on Saturday, June 4th from 4:00-5:30pm during our Battle Prep workshop (also free).
