Jacob Ouillette “Painted Space: An Installation” 10.10 – 11.15
Cosing Party and a ten-minute play, “Brooklyn Lighthouse,” by Anne Phelan
November 15th: 7PM and 10PM

On Friday, October 10th, “Painted Space,” a new installation by Jacob Ouillette will open at the Open Source Gallery. In conjunction with the opening, a new ten-minute play, “Brooklyn Lighthouse,” by Anne Phelan is being produced at the gallery, directed by Ramona Pula. The play addresses art, time and Brooklyn history, and features Jennifer Boehm and Andrew Rothkin. The opening is from 7PM to 10PM, and during which the play will be presented twice. Admission to the gallery and the play is free.
Jacob Ouillette currently has work in “Introduction: Future Dialogues” at the Dean Project. An Edward F. Albee Foundation Fellow, he is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and has shown work in New York City, Maine, New Hampshire and Basel. (http://www.annephelan.com and http://dramahound.blogspot.com) met Jacob Ouillette at the Albee Foundation in 2002; she is a two-time Albee Fellow, a William Inge Playwright-in-Residence and has two plays published by Smith & Kraus. Her plays have been produced off-off-Broadway, in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida. A graduate of Towson University, Ramona Pula recently directed “Bubby’s Shadow,” which won the Midtown International Theatre Festival’s Outstanding Overall Production of a New Drama Play Award. As an actress, she was nominated for a Spotlight On Award for Best Cameo in a One-Act Production for “An Evening of Psychos: Stalkers, Sadists & Serial Killers”; and she appeared in “Dipteracon” and “Bow Down” at The Club at LaMama.
